Melissa is a Fiduciary Financial Planner and Certified Financial Therapist™ with nearly three decades of experience helping individuals, families, and business owners make informed, confident financial decisions.

Melissa began her financial services career in 1997. In 2006, she founded InvestHER Fiduciary Solutions, LLC, a boutique, state-registered investment advisory firm providing retirement income planning, investment management, executive compensation planning, behavioral finance, and financial therapy.

Known for looking beyond the numbers, Melissa helps clients understand not only what they are doing with money, but also the beliefs, emotions, experiences, and behaviors influencing their decisions. By combining technical financial planning with behavioral insight, she helps clients build, protect, enjoy, and transfer wealth in ways that reflect their values, priorities, and vision for an abundant life.

Melissa earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Georgia State University and holds professional licenses and securities registrations in multiple states. She is the first woman of color to earn the Certified Financial Fiduciary® designation and also holds the Accredited Investment Fiduciary®, Certified Fund Specialist®, and Psychology of Financial Planning Specialist™ designations. She also serves as a FINRA® Arbitrator.

A Goldman Sachs One Million Black Women in Business Scholar, Melissa is an adjunct professor, speaker, contributor, lifelong learner, and soon-to-be author. She serves as Board Chair of Girls Inc. of Greater Atlanta and as a board member of Black Wealth Rising. She is also a member of the Association of African American Financial Advisors and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
